NCSI to launch data management app ‘Artaj’

MUSCAT: The National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) will launch an interactive data management application codenamed ‘Artaj’ (great gates), which serves as a coordination portal for the State’s Administrative Apparatus or a central data repository project. The inaugural ceremony will be held in Muscat on Wednesday this week (June 24, 2026).

The initiative is in pursuance of efforts made by the NCSI to consolidate the national data system and the culture of statistics, while at the same time utilising modern technologies to support development and evidence-based decision-making, in line with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.

‘Artaj’ application is also expected to contribute to furnishing an interactive educational experience aimed at developing statistical awareness among school children.

Salient features of the project include the professional exchange of reports, publications, studies and government projects, as well as the publishing of the outcome of surveys and public opinion polls. – ONA
