Oman-Pakistan Friendship Association established

MUSCAT: The official inauguration of the Oman-Pakistan Friendship Association will take place on Sunday, June 14, in Muscat. The association aims to strengthen the deep-rooted ties of friendship, enhance economic cooperation, and foster cultural links between the Sultanate of Oman and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

Syed Fayyaz Ali Shah, Founder and President of Oman-Pakistan Friendship Association, stated that the establishment of the association marks a new chapter in the longstanding friendship and collaboration between the two nations. It reflects a collective commitment to building stronger relations founded on mutual respect, cultural understanding, trade partnerships and community engagement.

In a statement to ONA, he explained that the idea for the association emerged from the need to create a bridge opening new horizons across economic, cultural, social, youth and sports fields, while fulfilling the aspirations of the two peoples.

He added that the association has already formed its founding members’ team, which includes a select group of experienced community leaders dedicated to achieving its objectives.

He noted that the association plans to organise cultural events, educational programmes, business networking forums and youth-focused initiatives in the coming period.

These activities are all aimed at deepening mutual understanding and strengthening relations between the people of the Sultanate of Oman and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. – ONA
