ROP issues executive regulation for National Records Law

MUSCAT: Lt Gen Hassan bin Mohsin al Shraiqi, Inspector General of Police and Customs, has issued the executive regulation of the National Records Law through Decision No 84/2026.

The decision was issued in line with the National Records Law promulgated by Royal Decree No 52/2024.

The executive regulation completes the legislative framework governing national records in the Sultanate of Oman. It is expected to support the development of related procedures, improve the efficiency of data and record management, and ensure that national records are handled in accordance with approved legal and regulatory frameworks.
