Road safety committee reviews accident indicators

MUSCAT: The National Committee for Road Safety held a meeting on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Lt Gen Hasan bin Mohsin al Shraiqi, Inspector General of Police and Customs and Chairman of the Committee.

During the meeting, the fourth edition of the Traffic Safety Competition was reviewed, alongside traffic indicators and statistics, awareness efforts, and measuring the extent to which objectives and initiatives aimed at reducing traffic accidents have been achieved.

The Committee emphasised the importance of enhancing the partnership among the relevant authorities and coordinating efforts in the fields of awareness and oversight. It also praised institutional and community efforts, as well as the commitment of citizens and residents to traffic rules and regulations. – ONA
